We went up to Bellingham to spend the weekend with Mom and Dad Chambers. Madeline loves going to Grandma and Grandpa's house, she gets spoiled rotten with love. The night before Easter we dyed eggs and Madi wasn't the best I'm afraid. Instead of coloring the eggs she ate the dye! Boy was it good :) It was late so the dying of eggs was cut short for Madi and she went to bed. The Easter Bunny came that night but Madi didn't even seem to notice, well, not at first. As she came running into the living room she ran right past the easter baskets and looked out the window, maybe she thought she could catch the Easter Bunny before he disappeared. As she turned around she noticed all the fun things that were left behind. Madi went straight for Wesley's basket and grabbed his little horse on wheels and pushed it around the floor and making noise like a car. She had so much fun digging through everyone's baskets and then finally Daddy took the big present out of it's box, A MAGNA-DOODLE! Madeline loves to color but she must have a clean piece of paper, one that was colored on too much was no good. The magna-doodle was perfect, we practiced sliding the nob back and forth to erase the drawings until she new exactly what to do. A NEW PAGE! WHENEVER I WANT! YEAH!
It was General Conference so the rest of Easter was pretty lazy, we all stayed in our pajamas and listened to the talks (or slept). Between sessions we went on a nature walk, Madi ran and Wesley slept most of the time.
It's always fun going to the in-laws, and nice for me to have a bit of a break as there is always someone around to give the children the attention they need.
