A little something new

 We had another ultrasound today.  We have a bit of bright news, at our last appointment we were told that she has a hemivertabrae in her lower spine and possibly one up near her neck.    Of course this causes a bit of scoliosis.  Well, today when they looked at her spine they said that it looks like her spine is straightening out a bit.  When he looked at the spine he said that he "thinks" there is something not normal with the bone up by her neck but isn't quite sure and that he didn't see any scoliosis there.  He showed us the hemivertebrae in the lower spine and we were able to see for ourselves that it isn't quite as square as the rest.  He said there wasn't much of a curve there so it seems that her scoliosis might actually become very minor.  Hopefully she will not have to have surgery or a brace, we'll have to wait that one out and see how her body deals with it as she grows older.  We are very excited about this new news and very optimistic

Here are a few pictures from the ultrasound.  This first picture is just a normal 3D from their older machines.  They are in the process of getting new machines and we were lucky enough to get some pictures from that one as well.  The 3D pictures from the new model are a lot clearer, so much that it was a bit freaky.  The last two pictures are from the new machine.  The umbilical chord wouldn't get out of the way, oh well :)   The last picture is actually really cool as you can see her leg in front and HER BONE!  Kinda Freaky, huh?  But way cool!
